During the Upgrade:
Our Online Banking and Mobile App will be temporarily unavailable while we complete system updates and improvements.
- Debit and credit cards, ATMs, and shared branching services (if applicable) will still be available
- Scheduled and recurring transactions will be processed once service is restored

Improved Mobile Deposit
Deposit checks more easily with automatic check capture and improved joint account access and history.
What’s Staying the Same
- Your username and password will stay the same.
- Your Bill Pay payees and payment history will remain available.
- Your scheduled and recurring transfers will continue as usual.
- Your transaction history and eStatements will still be accessible.
- Your linked external accounts will remain connected.
Mobile App: What You Need to Know
Update Required
To access the upgraded digital banking experience, you’ll need the latest version of the Saco Valley Credit Union Mobile App.
- If automatic updates are enabled on your device, your app should update automatically around June 9th.
- If automatic updates are turned off, visit the Apple App Store or Google Play Store and tap Update.
Older App Versions
Beginning on June 9th, older versions of our Mobile App will no longer be supported. Please update your app to continue accessing Mobile Banking.
Device Requirements
For the best experience, make sure your device is using one of the supported operating systems below:
- Android: Version 9.0 or higher
- iPhone/iPad: iOS 15.5 or higher
- Desktop Browsers: Latest versions of Chrome, Safari, or Microsoft Edge
Enhanced Security Features
Biometric Login (Face ID / Fingerprint)
If you already use Face ID or fingerprint login on your device and within our Mobile App, your settings should remain enabled after the upgrade.
To enable biometric login after the upgrade:
- Log in to the Mobile App using your password
- Select Menu → Settings
- Turn on Biometric Authentication
- Follow the prompts to confirm your fingerprint or Face ID
New: Passkey Login
Passkeys offer a simpler, more secure way to sign in using your device’s built-in security features, such as Face ID, fingerprint login, or a security key.
Passkeys can help:
- make signing in faster
- reduce the need to remember passwords
- add an extra layer of account protection
Saved Password Feature Removed
To help keep your account secure, the option to save your password within the Mobile App will no longer be available.
For faster login access, we recommend enabling biometric login or Passkeys.
Updated Login Verification
As part of the upgrade, security images, phrases, and challenge questions will be replaced with a one-time verification code sent by text message or email.
The first time you log in after the upgrade, you may be asked to verify your device.
