Field of Membership
Membership at Saco Valley Credit Union is open to anyone who lives, works, attends school or worships in Cumberland or York County in Maine. SVCU Membership is also open to immediate family members of existing members (parents, spouse, children, siblings, grandchildren, or grandparents).
Joining Saco Valley Credit Union is easy! Open your account online or visit any of our convenient branch locations and become a member by opening a savings account with $25. This $25 reflects your ownership in Saco Valley Credit Union.

As a member-owner of SVCU and any credit union, you are entitled to an equal voice in the operation of the Credit Union. Credit Unions, unlike most large banks, are governed by an unpaid, volunteer boards of directors who are elected from and by the membership of the Credit Union. Because there are no stockholders to satisfy, Saco Valley Credit Union directs their income back to their members in the form of lower fees, higher rates of return and improved products and services.
