Saco Valley Credit Union strives to be a partner to our community organizations. Two of the largest initiatives we support are the Maine Credit Unions’ Campaign for Ending Hunger, and Maine Special Olympics. With community-based initiatives happening locally, we are also happy to help support with a limited budget of funds for sponsorships. To help guide support requests, please read this page in its entirety prior to filling out the form at the bottom:
Saco Valley Credit Union may provide financial, material, or volunteer support for programs, events and organizations that benefit the following:
- The Arts & Sciences
- Economic Development
- Educational Issues & Programs
- Health & Human Services
- Municipal Services
- Food Insecurity
- Athletic Programs (for 18 and under)
The primary area of benefit must be in or include York and/or Cumberland counties to be considered for support.
The following is a list of types of groups and organizations that SVCU is unable to provide support for:
– National organizations (unless the programs have significant local impact)
– Religious or sectarian organizations
– Political organizations or candidates
– Purposes that benefit just one individual (e.g. fund to send one student overseas to study)
While there are many deserving organizations in our communities, we can’t support them all and we can’t necessarily support every year. Support will be given to organizations once per year. If there are multiple initiatives throughout the year that you would like support for, please include them all in a single submission.
Community Support Form
Please Read: Make sure that you have collected all relevant information prior to starting this form, as you will not be able to save and come back. Any organization wishing to request support for multiple initiatives throughout the calendar year should put the details of all in the description and attach relevant documentation for all, but include the total requested amount to be the combined amount. Only one request per year for each organization will be considered. If you are unsure of any answer, please select the closest option and put further details in the description or attachments.
