The State of Maine abandoned property regulations define abandoned financial accounts as those that have not had activity in the past three years. To keep your account from being considered abandoned and being turned over to the State of Maine, you will need to either perform a transaction on your account or fill out the form above indicating your desire to keep your account open and as proof that the account has not been abandoned.
