5 Ways to Bank Remotely with SVCU

As the talk surrounding COVID-19 (coronavirus) continues, we wanted to take a moment to share all the ways members can interact with the Credit Union remotely. So if you are feeling ill, or don’t want to risk going into public spaces more than necessary, read on to learn how! 

Needing Cash

Saco Valley Credit Union has ATMs at the branches in Waterboro and at 500 Main Street in Saco. These ATMs are available 24/7 and are free for members to use. Additionally, SVCU participates in the SurF ATM Network. This is a local network of ATMs that members can use surcharge-free. If members use ATMs at banks or credit unions that don’t participate in this network, those institutions may charge a fee.

Depositing Checks

Through SVCU’s Apple and Android mobile apps, members are able to deposit checks through their smartphone as long as they have a cellular connection or are connected through wi-fi. Simply search for Saco Valley Credit Union in the app store, download the app, and sign in! The login is the same for home banking as it is for mobile. Not registered? Click here to register. Once in the app, you will see the option for mobile deposit. Complete the required information and submit! It’s that easy.

Another option for depositing checks would be to use our night drops. Night drops are available at our branches at 312 Main Street in Saco and 860 Main Street in Waterboro. 

Applying for a Loan

SVCU now has online consumer loan applications. Click here to get started on your consumer loan application today. While we cannot accept online mortgage applications at this time, we can help get you started. Simply give us a call at 207-282-6169 and select Option 3 to speak with our mortgage department.

Regarding COVID-19

We are monitoring the escalation of COVID-19 within Maine and the US daily. On the recommendation of the CDC specifically around COVID-19, we ask that our employees, members and community members who have travelled to Italy, South Korea, Iran, China, Japan or other areas of high-risk refrain from visiting any of our credit union branches for at least 14 days after your return to the US or until the CDC lowers their travel risk to an acceptable level.
