COVID-19 Updates

Visit the links below for specific information:

Our branches are open as usual. Saturdays are Drive-Thru Only.

Previous Updates:

Masks Recommended in all SVCU Facilities For Unvaccinated Individuals.

Lobbies are now open at full capacity. We ask members to continue maintaining social distance between other members and staff.

Lobbies Open With Limited Capacity

SVCU lobbies are open for teller transactions with limited capacity. We have implemented a traffic light system at the entry doors of the branches at 312 Main Street in Saco and 860 Main Street in Waterboro – so please remain outside until the light turns green. The lobby at 500 Main Street in Saco (Mortgage Office) remains by appointment only. We still recommend using our drive-thrus and remote services when possible. Additionally, we are continuing with the following protocols:

  • Masks are required to enter our lobby. You may be asked to remove your mask briefly for identity verification. All employees in common areas will be wearing masks.
  • Please limit those with you when you come into the branch to only those required for the transaction as all who enter count towards our capacity limits.
  • Our drive-thrus are open Saturdays until noon, however our lobbies will remain closed on Saturdays.
  • Please practice physical distancing while inside.
  • If you are feeling ill, please use our drive-thrus.

If you wish to speak with someone about a loan or new account, we ask you to call 207-282-6169 ahead of time to ensure someone will be available to assist you.

3/17 Update: Drive-Thru Only Starting 3/17/2020

As COVID-19 continues to affect so much of daily life, Saco Valley Credit Union wants to reassure you that we are committed to being here for you – just like we always are, and always have been. Our goal is to ensure the credit union services you depend on remain unaffected by the spread of the virus in our region, and we are working hard to ensure that happens. Your banking should continue to be easy, convenient, and available to you wherever you are and whenever you need it.

The health and wellbeing of our staff and members will always be our highest priority. With that said, out of an abundance of caution and as a precaution, we have made the difficult decision to move to a drive-thru only environment. This means that while our lobbies will be closed to members, we will continue to serve you at our drive-thru locations, as well as remotely through various means outlined here. You may also find a list of how to complete various types of transactions here. If you have questions about setting up online or mobile banking, or any of the ways to bank remotely with us, one of our Member Service Representatives can help walk you through this process.

We ask our members to remain patient with us as we work through this challenging time. We also request that if you have been exposed to someone showing symptoms of COVID-19, or if you are not feeling well, that you remain home and contact your doctor. The best way to limit the spread of this disease is to avoid human-to-human interaction, even at drive-thrus, with people who may be infected.

If you or anyone in your family has been impacted by COVID-19 and need financial support, we are here to help. Our staff is ready to provide financial guidance and discuss solutions that may be available to you. For assistance, please reach out to us at 207-282-6169.  Finally, we want you to be aware of scams designed to prey on fear and uncertainty. You can learn more about these scams on the FTC Website.

Your accounts and money are safe with Saco Valley Credit Union. Saco Valley Credit Union is always working to serve your financial needs and we hope our ongoing support during this difficult time will provide you with some comfort. We will continue to keep you updated and contact you as circumstances change.
